According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Anthony Davis his agent Rich Paul has informed the New Orleans Pelicans as of this morning that he will not be signing an extension with the team and instead requests a trade.

The Pelicans made it very clear in the last two months that they had no intentions of trading Anthony Davis and offered him a 5 year $240 Million extension which we've all learned today he's turned down.
As the trade deadline as we know is February 7th, it's not clear which team he will be traded to, but his agent Rich paul who happens to be Lebron's agent as well made it clear that the super All-Star and All-NBA Forward wants to be traded to a contending team but is very open minded about which team it should be. The Celtics and Lakers are rumoured places Davis prefers, but the celtics can't trade for Davis with Kyrie's presence until July 1st because of the so called 'Rose Rule'.
Currently it seems like the Lakers are the most ideal team for Davis but we'll have to all wait and see how this humongous story plays out as a possibility of a trade before the trade deadline exists and this is a trade that will change the landscape of the league.
