Will Smith And Martin Lawrence confirmed via Instagram that 'Bad Boys 3' is Officially on the way. Possible release date could be in 2020.

It shouldn’t really come as much of a surprise, seeing as the original Michael Bay movies made so, so much money – but the second sequel has been stuck in development hell for so long that everyone assumed it wasn’t going to happen (even Martin Lawrence).
t’s been 15 years now since Bad Boys II put a dampener on the original – taking a fortune at the box-office but coming off like all the worst bits of 90s action movies. The buddy cop genre has risen, fallen, risen again, been lampooned and been forgotten about – Will Smith has turned 50, Lawrence has pretty much retired and Michael Bay has made five Transformers movies.
The Bad Boys franchise was beginning to look like an action movie landmark that only really produced one bad sequel and lot of jokes for Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Hot Fuzz. Until now, that is…
Confirming the news on Instagram, Lawrence posted a new pic with the words “It’s official. Bad Boys for life… #weback”. It looks like the shot was just taken on the beach in LA, but it looks better if you imagine a plane flying over head in slow motion. Smith reportedly signed on last month, but the sequel hasn't been official until now – with countless previous production rumours and bits of casting news coming to nothing. Joe Carnahan signed on a few years ago before suddenly quitting over creative differences with producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Then came the news that Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah were attached to the sequel (as well as to Beverly Hills Cop 4). There’s no word yet on who’s actually making Bad Boys For Life, but it looks likely that El Arbi and Fallah are still on board.
