Fans traveling to the Super Bowl are guaranteed to spend too much money on almost everything they do.

High demand will assuredly produce surges in housing and ride-share pricing in Atlanta. Souvenirs and outside entertainment won’t come cheap. It’s part of the deal people make when deciding to make the Super Bowl their vacation destination.

Price break at the Super Bowl?

But fans will catch a break at the most unexpected of Atlanta venues — Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Concessions will be reasonable at the game

The home of the Atlanta Falcons prides itself on what it labels “fan first menu pricing.” It’s a concession strategy that treats customers like normal people instead of hostages who have no choice but to pay three times the going rate for food and drinks. The 12-item menu includes $2 hot dogs, $5 cheap beers, $3 pizza slices and $2 bottles of water.

Pricing the same for every event at Falcons home

Falcons CEO Rich McKay told ESPN that Super Bowl attendees won’t be treated any different than fans at Falcons games or any other event hosted at the stadium. “We said this in our negotiations with the SEC, the college football championship, the Super Bowl, and the Final Four … what we basically said is, every customer that comes through that door is our customer,” McKay told ESPN. “So we want to treat all those customers the same and give them the same experience in food and beverage.”

The price plan was implemented when the stadium opened in 2017. McKay told ESPN that it has been a success on the business front as fans have spent an average of 16 percent more on concessions compared to what they did at the Georgia Dome. He also said that the stadium plans to stock 75,000 bottles of water and 55,000 hot dogs to give a gauge on what they expect to sell at the Super Bowl. Source: https://www.aol.com
