Vets Heal Animals Burned In Wildfire with Fish Skin

The recent wildfires in California have taken a toll on animals and pets that were severely burned during the calamity. Vets from the California Department of Fish And Wildlife turned to unconventional methods when they ran out of answers, because some of the burns where so severe.

Dr. Jamie Peyton, Chief Of The Integrative Medicine at UC Davis Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital who got recruited to help with pain management used a technique that has been used on human burns in Brazil in the past but never for animals.

This innovative technique proved that it possesses more advantages than the traditional use of bandages and pain medications because of the high levels of protein 'Collagen' which promotes tissue connectivity and growth in wounds. It's pretty awesome that this actually works!
